PMI and its projects are critically acclaimed by publications including The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, Vogue Italia, Time Out, The Chicago Reader, and AREA magazine.

PMI events are hosted by the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Chicago Cultural Center, and dozens of institutions, galleries, and art spaces throughout Chicago and the world. These include Hyde Park Art Center, Three Walls, Zhou B Center, Iron Studios, MN Gallery, Open End, Heaven, Green Lantern, Country Club, 1Quarterly, Sonotheque, Polvo, Viaduct Theater, Mutherland Gallery, buddy (all IL), as well as Eye Beam (NY), De Player (NL) Worm (NL), and Impakt Festival (NL). Local co-programmers and partners include Columbia College, Illinois Institute of Technology, Mess Hall, Area Magazine, MCA, local artists, The School of the Art Institute Chicago, Video Data Bank, Northwestern University, and the University of Illinois at Chicago.

PMI has worked with thousands of artists, organizations and curators from the U.S., Mexico, Japan, Germany, The Netherlands, Copenhagen, Norway, China, Estonia, France, Australia, Austria, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Italy.
